Superstitious?

Are you superstitious?

What a great word not one you hear everyday full of mischief and mystery.

Am I?

No not really?

My mum is, she will never put new shoes on a table or walk under a ladder.

My Gran was terrible for superstition I’m sure half of them she made up.

I bought her a bunch of lilies once.

I love lilies there scent fills the room and they are such an elegant flower.

But she went mad.

“Why did you get me those I’m not dead!”

I suppose it’s not wanting to tempt fate.

Like fate is just sat there waiting for the opportunity to strike.

There are some things I do that I’m not sure you can call superstitious but still.

If I ever see an ambulance with their siren on I always make the sign of the cross for those in need.

For they might need a prayer.

I still cross my fingers if I really want something to happen.

Like at school when you’d be waving your hand madly in the air wanting to answering the question.

The teacher then choosing you.

Fingers crossed desperate for your answer to be right.

Superstition great word.
