Write about your approach to budgeting.
It’s important to budget especially when you have a large family.
For me, when I go shopping I always plan what I’m going to cook for the week.
If there is meat or vegetables reduced I’ll buy it and pop it straight in the freezer if I’m not going to cook immediately.
I try very hard to keep waste to a minimum not just to save the pennies but also for the environment.
Years ago meat was a luxury whereas now it’s a given we should have it at every meal.
I try to cook vegetarian meals occasionally but have to admit I have a family of carnivore’s so not easy…..
How every small we think it might be it important to be aware and try to do our bit to protect our future families in years to come.
I walk or get the bus whenever possible.
The kids all take packed lunches to school.
At the end of the summer the kids and I go out collecting kindling and wood. Of course we are lucky enough to afford our own wood but I think it teaches the kids the value.
I love the waste not want not attitude and just using what you’ve got.
The older kids have got into Vinted an app where you buy second hand clothes. I love that they are doing this.
There are so many entitled kids everywhere I’m glad mine aren’t one of them.
I’m also now as Spring approaches thinking about what I’m going to grow this year.
It’s trial and error with me I’ve had some amazing years and some not so good but I keep on going.
Happy Saturday x
