A good leader…

What makes a good leader?

To be a good leader you have to be more than good at the job in hand.

You have to have something special, charisma, presence, strength.

Someone who when they talk you listen.

A good leader should inspire you, have your admiration, make you want to do better, you should believe in them, want to follow them.

A good leader must not be afraid to get their hands dirty, should understand all positions and requirements be willing to put the hours in and stay to the bitter end.

A good leader is brave and strong and will put themselves on the line for a cause they believe in.

I wish such people were running our countries……

12 years ago I gave up my career and moved to Luxembourg with my partner. It was only meant to be a temporary move but 12 years on, 3 jobs, 2 houses, 4 kids 2 cats and a dog we are still here. This is my story. What I have learnt in my 46 years, trails and tribulations with my kids, navigating language difficulties with stuff I like. Don’t judge me be kind.

    Golly, I don’t know. Its such a slippery slope from “you should believe in them, want to follow them” to a cult of personality. We see that in business and politics quite often.
