Think back on your most memorable road trip.
A couple of years ago we planned to visit our friends in Portugal.
It’s a big drive 18 hours from our home so I planned stops on the way in France and Spain.
A couple of weeks before the trip we had a family emergency and it was decided that my husband couldn’t go so I made the decision to go alone with the kids.
I was nervous but the alternative was not to go and to miss out on our holiday and loose money.
Sometimes metaphorically speaking you just have to put your big girls pants on and go for it!
And do we did it driving hours and hours it was actually fun. My little crew were very supportive and knew to behave. My eldest daughter my Co Pilot was amazing helping with the navigation and just being beside me for company.
Driving that distance is hard, tiring especially in the heat. Going to new places on the way, driving in strange cities and just being wholly responsible for four extra people is a big responsibility but we did it.
Arriving at our friends we had a blissful lazy 10 days swimming, reading and eating.
It was worth the stress and soon after we were reunited.
Thank you x
