What skills or lessons have you learned recently?
Two of my daughters have horse riding lessons.
Part of the lesson is we have to get them ready and also sometimes take the saddles off.
The horses are bigger than them so between the three of us we will do it together.
I’ve always loved horses and when I was in my twenties I learnt how to ride but never how to dress them.
Week after week we’d get something wrong.
Not tie something correctly or now loop it through the right buckle.
The saddles are heavy and there is also a particular way to put the saddles back.
It’s quite complicated and a lot to remember.
And quite frankly the horses are just not in the mood for a ride and just won’t cooperate.
Finally after just over a year we have got it!
We still make tiny mistakes but we can do it 😉
