If you didn’t need sleep, what would you do with all the extra time?

This is a tough one as I love my sleep and like most busy people I never seem to have enough.

Sleep is the time your body has to recoup its energy and repair.

When you are sick I always think it’s good to sleep as it’s your body’s way of recharging.

As I get older I think far more that you should be respectful of how you treat your body and what you put in it.

I suppose if I didn’t need sleep I’d use the time to do the same for my body but in a different way.

Gentle exercise, stretching, relaxing the kind, body and soul.

I’ve just started to try and use a sauna and a steam room once a week at my local gym.

I find them hard just to regulate my breathing and not just panic and dart out of there.

My natural reflex is I hate them.

I just feel really claustrophobic and panicked so it’s hard.

I’m trying to persevere as they are so good for you and once my beetroot face has calmed down my skin is amazing and I sleep like a baby.

I think I’d try to spend quality time with my family, be present in the moment.

For that is the most important thing.

So often we don’t realise how good the time is until it’s past and we’re looking back.

Using that time productively and repairing I think would be the best use of that time.
